Counselling How can counselling help you?
From time to time people experience situations when they are not coping as well as they usually do. This can be the result of a life event, past or present, such as bereavement, redundancy, divorce/separation, retirement, or relationship difficulties.
Therapy and counselling provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment in which to build on your strengths to create the changes you need.
These issues may be to do with the present or sometimes more to do with past difficult experiences that may stem from childhood. Counsellors can help you look at these issues with new perspectives.
The aim of counselling is to be a supportive safe place where we can explore issues together and ways of addressing them.
